periodic legs syndrome

They are sudden, involuntary movements of the legs, that are repeated cyclically during sleep. Long duration are more common in lighter sleep stages (stages I and II). Convulsive episodes occur in sets of four or more movements and in severe cases may extend throughout the night. This leads to unconscious arousals and constant interruptions of the sleep cycle. Its prevalence increases with age and the current treatment available to patients is only drug.

Sleep Apnea Tests

Useful instruments for the auto observation of abnormal behaviours during sleep.

Those questionnaires help you to observe the existence and/or gravity of sleep apnea through a sequence of questions that the patient has to valuate, in certain cases, with the help of family members or life partners.
