Orthobrux

Splint for the treatment of bruxism and TMJ disorders

Orthobrux is a bite splint designed to alleviate the effects of bruxism and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.
Its customised design and manufacture reduce jaw tension, protect teeth from wear and tear, and improve patient comfort. Thanks to the digital technology used in its development, Orthobrux offers a precise fit and a more comfortable and effective user experience.

Orthobrux is a removable device, customised to fit the upper or lower arch according to the patient’s needs.

Its design incorporates an optimised occlusal surface, either smooth or with balanced contacts, to distribute bite forces evenly.
In addition, its excellent occlusion and sliding properties allow for smooth mandibular movement.

Material option

Nylon

An advanced material with high resistance to forces from the mouth, falls and blows, ideal for patients who require a more flexible and durable splint. Its controlled elasticity allows for greater impact absorption and optimal adaptation to jaw movements, offering effective protection against severe bruxism.

Biocompatible Resin

A material with excellent resistance and stability, designed to provide a precise and comfortable fit. Its controlled rigidity allows for even distribution of occlusal forces, protecting the teeth and reducing stress on the TMJ.

Main functions

  • Distributes the pressure generated by bruxism, preventing tooth wear and reducing strain on muscles and joints.
  • It relaxes the jaw muscles, relieving discomfort such as headaches or jaw tension.
  • Protects teeth and dental restorations (crowns, implants) from fractures or premature wear.
  • Corrects occlusion in some cases, promoting more stable bite alignment.
